NDA asked to promote role as premier center for military education and research

The congress reviewed the outcomes of the implementation of the Resolution of the academy’s Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term; set orientations, goals, and tasks for the 2025-2030 term; evaluated the leadership work of the Party Committee; gave feedback on the draft documents of the 14th National Party Congress and the 12th Military Party Congress; elected a new Executive Committee of the academy’s Party Organization for the 2025–2030 term; and selected delegates to the 12th Military Party Congress.

Speaking at the event, General Nguyen Tan Cuong congratulated the Party Organization of the NDA on its achievements during the 2020–2025 term and set clear expectations for the future.

He requested the Party Committee to pro-actively analyze global, regional, and domestic  situations, particularly new forms of warfare, operational concepts seen in today’s conflicts, and schemes of hostile forces, thus giving timely and strategic advice to the Party, State, Central Military Commission, and Ministry of National Defense on guidelines and policies on military and defense, national protection, defense diplomacy, contributing to protecting the Fatherland early and from afar.

The defense leader urged the academy to continue to uphold its leading role in innovating and enhancing the quality of education and training; drastically and effectively carry out strategies on developing strategic- and operational-level officers who are politically steadfast, theoretically sound, quick-thinking, and capable of command and management. The institution should pay attention to applying information technology, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and other digital tools to training programs; building a contingent of instructors and management staff with comprehensive professional competence to meet the requirement of officer training.

The Chief of the General Staff further asked the academy to strengthen political and ideological education, instilling self-reliance, confidence, resilience, and national pride in its personnel. He emphasized the need to help all officers and Party members deeply understand the Party’s viewpoints on defense and security, the academy’s political mission; enhance their political stance and readiness to overcome challenges and fulfill all assigned tasks.

General Cuong also laid stress on building healthy and strong Party Organizations, raising the combat power of Party committees and Party organizations, and further promoting the pioneering and exemplary role of officers and Party members.

Concluding the remark, General Cuong expressed his confidence that the NDA will undergo a strong transformation after the congress, successfully accomplishing all assigned tasks and affirming its position as a premier center for military education and research in both the military and the country.

The congress elected the new Executive Committee of the Party Organization of the NDA for the 2025–2030 term.
