Naval Region 4 inspects Frigate 016-Quang Trung ahead of defense external affairs mission
PANO – On August 8, in Khanh Hoa Province, a working delegation from the Naval Region 4 Command, led by Rear Admiral Nguyen Anh Tuan, Commander of the naval region, inspected and encouraged officers and sailors of Frigate 016-Quang Trung of Brigade 162 as they prepared for a defense external affairs mission.
Rear Admiral Nguyen Anh Tuan highly appreciated the direction of the Party Committee and leadership of Brigade 162 in the ship’s preparations. The ship’s technical equipment was well-maintained, communication systems remained smooth, and the operational plan for the entire mission was detailed and thorough. The program of activities in the host country had been scheduled with specific timelines. The Commander of Naval Region 4 encouraged officers and sailors of Frigate 016-Quang Trung to overcome difficulties, strictly observe external relations discipline, and excellently fulfill their assigned tasks.

The mission of escorting the Vietnam People’s Navy delegation to participate in the ASEAN Fleet Review and the third ASEAN Multilateral Naval Exercise (AMNEX) in Malaysia holds special significance. It will further strengthen cooperation, mutual understanding, and trust between the navies of regional countries, contributing to deepening bilateral defense cooperation between Vietnam and Malaysia in particular, as well as among participating navies in general.
