During the conference, Major General Tong Van Thanh, Deputy Director of the Department of Political Education and Information under the General Department of Political Affairs, stated that the organization of the parade will be chaired by the Ministry of National Defense, in coordination with the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Hanoi, and other relevant ministries, sectors, agencies, and units at Ba Dinh Square (Hanoi) on September 2 morning.

Forces participating in the joint rehearsal for the upcoming parade

There will be six forces participating in the parade. The parade will include activities, such as traditional torch relays, ceremonial artillery firing, an aerial performance by the air force, and the parade. Notably, the parade at sea will take place in Cam Ranh, Khanh Hoa province and be broadcast live from the sea to Ba Dinh Square. After passing the stage, the parade formations will continue along several city streets and participate in cultural and artistic exchange activities to strengthen ties between the forces and people at two locations, namely Quan Ngua Sports Palace and August Revolution Square.

Regarding security and safety for the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2), Major General Nguyen Quoc Toan, Chief of the Office and Spokesperson of the Ministry of Public Security, noted that this August will see several events of great political and historical significance. For security and order, the Ministry of Public Security has classified the protection level for events in August at the highest tier. The ministry has established a security and order subcommittee to ensure security and order across the country.

Meanwhile, the ministry has simultaneously launched 80 peak campaigns to prevent combat crime, maintain local security and order, strengthen management, ensure traffic safety, and prevent fires and explosions. The whole force is fully prepared with equipment, weapons, and logistical resources to carry out the mission with the highest determination. Close coordination is maintained with the armed forces, ministries, sectors, and localities to ensure absolute security and safety for the events.
