Reportedly, since 2021, the coordination between the GDP and Central agencies and organizations in building defensive areas has been maintained with practical outcomes.

Especially, the GDP has actively made recommendations to the Party and State to issue many guidelines and military and defense strategies, and addressed any arising cases, contributing to firmly protecting the national sovereignty and ensuring the environment of peace, stability for the development of the country.

At the same time, the GDP has actively studied to make recommendations on the issuing of documents and directives instructing the implementation of defense, military, security affairs, military region defense, and the building of defensive areas. Meanwhile, the quality of Party and political work of the armed forces in defense and military work in localities and functional units has been promoted, to name but a few.
Speaking at the conference, General Giang congratulated and hailed the cooperation work between the GDP and functional units in building defensive areas, thereby contributing to well performing the role of the military, and beautifying the image of Uncle Ho’s soldiers in the current context. He also emphasized the importance of the defensive area building task, in which building political and spiritual potential plays an important role.

He requested that the cooperation work should be further tightened effectively, focusing on grasping situations so as to be ready in any circumstances. They should also implement resolutions and conclusions of the Party Central Committee as well as laws on defensive areas, resolutions of the Politburo and Party Central Committee on socio-economic development, and ensuring defense and security, to name but a few.
The defense minister also noted that the GDP should raise the quality of dissemination work, issue documents on the preparation and organization of Party congresses at all levels, and raise the leadership of Party committees and organizations in localities, among others.
Concluding the conference, General Quyet thanked General Giang for his comments during the event, while briefing on outstanding outcomes during task performance. He underscored major contents that functional units should implement to further foster the quality of defensive area building work in the time to come.
