Over the past years, under the direction of Military Region 3's Party Committee and Command, agencies and units under the military region have effectively carried out the CMC’s resolutions. As a result, the awareness and responsibility of Party committees and chains-of-command at all levels and troops of training mission have been heightened, and training quality have been enhanced, contributing to raising the strength and combat readiness capabilities of the military region.

Speaking at the conference, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong lauded Military Region 3 for their outstanding outcomes in actualizing Resolution 765-NQ/QUTW. In particular, the military region has comprehensively fulfilled training missions and won high results at competitions.

The chief of the General Staff also pointed out shortcomings in training work that Military Region 3 and units in the whole military need addressing in the coming time.

Having mentioned key missions of the military in the coming time, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong asked the military region’s Party Committee and Command to foster leadership to help agencies and units under the military region to well fulfill military and defense missions in general and training work in particular.

He added that the military region’s armed forces should promote the application of IT to training activities, foster inspection to prevent “achievement disease” in training, enhance the coordination among forces, and pay attention to raising the quality of exercises.

After the conference, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong chaired a meeting to evaluate Military Region 3’s preparation for and organization of the conference on reviewing ten-year implementation of Resolution 765-NQ/QUTW. The Chief of the General Staff asked units and agencies in the whole military to learn from Military Region 3’s experience to better prepare and organize their conferences and develop measures to raise the quality of training and combat readiness. He also asked agencies and units to objectively and accurately evaluate their outcomes in training and propose measures to enhance the effectiveness of training to meet task requirements in the new period.
