Military Culture and Arts University reviews tertiary education program
PANO – In the coming times, the Military Culture and Arts University should pay attention to raising the quality of teaching staff with the focus on strengthening their foreign language skills to meet the requirements of international cooperation and conduct more high-quality culture and arts works.
Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Nghia, member of the of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission and Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics, made that request at the University’s meeting to review its ten-year implementation of tertiary education on January 16 in Hanoi.
Praising the unit’s recorded achievements over the past ten years, General Nghia also asked the university to focus on embracing the Party’s guidelines on culture, education and training, especially Directive 335 of the Central Military Commission on promoting leadership in culture, literature and arts work in the military in the current period.
At the conference, reports highlighted the University’s achievements in education and training over the past ten years.
Accordingly, the University developed suitable training programs for students and held seminars on training in line with its reality, the Party’s guidelines and State’s policies and requirements of military building in the short- and long-term period. As a result, students were equipped comprehensively with political, military, professional and general knowledge, and most of them fulfilled their assigned missions after graduating. More significantly, various graduates have proved to have firm political stance and great virtues, become famous artists, scientists and cultural management staff of the army and the nation and bestowed with titles of People’s Artist and Meritorious Artist by the Party and State.
Delegates also recommended some approaches to further raising training quality at the unit in the coming time as well as to promoting international cooperation to raise professionalism of lecturers and students.
