The statement was made during his visit to the Hanoi Capital Command on December 20 on the occasion of the 77th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA) and the 32nd Whole People’s Defense Festive Day (December 22).
Amid the complicated developments of the disease, Hanoi’s authorities, armed forces, and people have well put it under control while actively recovering and developing local socio-economy.

Meanwhile, the city has also ensured political security and social order as well as took care of the people’s life, particularly those in need. As a result, the city has successfully conducted important political missions, especially the elections of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and members of people’s councils for the 2021-2026 tenure.
Dung affirmed that the Hanoi Capital Command has made remarkable contribution to the success. They have not only made proposals to the Hanoi municipal Party Committee and People’s Committee, but also well implemented COVID-19 prevention and control.
The secretary of the Hanoi municipal Party Committee acknowledged and hailed the troops’ achievements and contribution in 2021, wishing them good health and further promoting the virtues of Uncle Ho’s soldiers in the coming time.
Amid the complicated developments of the pandemic, Dung urged the unit to be ready to receive and treat COVID-19 patients.
On behalf of the unit, Deputy Political Commissar, Major General Nguyen Xuan Yem, thanked the secretary for his care and encouragement, affirming that the officers and soldiers of the Capital Command will stay united and perform all assigned missions well, deserving the trust of the Hanoi Party Organization, authorities, and people.
