During the inspection at Company 12 of the battalion, the unit introduced its firing range, grenade-throwing area, and explosives-charging area. Live drills were conducted to assess the following: The STV380 assault rifle shooting exercise (Lesson 1), real explosives charging (Lesson 1), and live grenade throwing (Lesson 1). For each activity, the model team followed all steps: conducting range procedures, briefing the test plan, executing the test, and concluding it.

The inspection showed that the commanders’ actions were clear and audible, their commands decisive, and the instructors’ guidance in shooting, explosives handling, and grenade throwing consistent and well-executed. The soldiers performed tasks proficiently, demonstrated close coordination, and strictly followed orders from their superiors.

During the visit, General Tan highly praised Brigade 144 for its thorough preparation. He instructed the brigade to continue ensuring that all units conduct recruit training in accordance with established guidelines, training materials, and realistic scenarios, maintaining high standards and consistency. He emphasized the importance of thorough inspections, strict adherence to safety measures, objective result evaluation, and timely feedback to improve training quality.

After the inspection, the GS Steering Committee for Combat Training held a feedback meeting on the “Three-Explosions” test with instructors from Brigade 144. The meeting was conducted in a democratic and constructive spirit, with unanimous agreement on the observed results.

Senior Colonel Nguyen Van Dai, Deputy Director of the GS’s Logistics Department and Permanent Deputy Head of the GS Steering Committee for Combat Training, suggested that Brigade 144 strictly follow the Ministry of National Defense’s training program, ensuring thorough preparations and proper conditions for each activity. He also recommended further instructor training in shooting, explosives charging, and grenade throwing, and emphasized that supporting forces must master their tasks. Additionally, he highlighted the importance of leveraging information technology for coordination and inspection organization, reinforcing the need to build strong determination among officers and soldiers for the “Three-Explosions” test. He further stressed the importance of morale-building, strengthening determination, and ensuring adequate logistical and technical support.
