Concluding the inspection session, Gen. Thang urged the unit to address shortcomings, observe regulations on duty, combat readiness, improve training quality and synergy, and combine military training with political education, discipline observance and regularity building.

The GS leader also requested the regiment to strengthen Party and political work, ensure logistics and technical supplies for task performance while enhancing troops’ living conditions.

Earlier, on October 28 afternoon, having inspected the Dien Bien Provincial Military Command, the delegation  assessed that the unit had comprehensively implemented military, defense, and Party building tasks, successfully achieved set goals and targets and excellently completed many tasks in key areas, such as maintaining combat readiness posture, improving regularity-building, conducting effective training and exercises, and innovating political and Party work-related activities.

On October 28-29, the MND’s Inspection Mission No.4, led by Deputy Director of the General Department of Political Affairs (GDP) Lt. Gen. Do Xuan Tung, inspected the task performance of some Military Region 9’s units, namely Division 8, the Defensive Area Command Region 3-Cao Lanh, Binh Thanh Border Post, and the Dong Thap Provincial Military Command and its affiliate Border Guard Command.

Gen. Tung directed the units to promptly overcome shortcomings; strictly observe combat readiness regulations; keep a close watch on situations in border areas; and intensify rehearsals for combat readiness scenarios, especially in preparation for the 14th National Party Congress and the elections of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and people’s councils for the 2026-2031 term.

The GDP leader also emphasized close coordination in military recruitment and quality training of new enlistees. The units were urged to implement Party General Secretary To Lam’s directive on “two steadfast principles, two accelerations, and two preventions,” manage equipment and finances effectively, promote digital transformation in command and operations, and improve digital literacy for troops.

On October 29, an MND delegation, led by GS’s Deputy Chief Maj. Gen. Nguyen Ba Luc inspected the implementation of military, defense, and border work for 2025 at the Ha Tinh Provincial Military Command.

At the Border Post of Cau Treo International Border Gate, the Defensive Area Command Region 1-Nam Hong Linh, the Mechanized Reconnaissance Company, and the Ha Tinh Provincial Military Command’s Organs, the delegation reviewed operational documents, coordination among forces, combat readiness posture, and the management of weapons, equipment, as well as observance of discipline.

Concluding the inspection, Gen. Luc requested the Ha Tinh Provincial Military Command to maintain combat readiness posture, ensure timely and effective response to all situations, update operational documents, enhance training on combat readiness scenarios, and manage and effective use defense land and public assets in accordance with regulations.
