General Staff rolls out missions for 2019
PANO – Senior Lieutenant General Pham Ngoc Minh, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, chaired a conference on January 21 to review the implementation of Party and political work of the General Staff last year and roll out tasks for this year.
According to reports delivered at the event, in 2018, units under the General Staff developed new methods to comprehensively and effectively conduct Party and political work in line with the implementation of their political missions.

Praising achievements recorded by the units over the past time, General Minh asked them to further raise the efficiency of political education for troops so that they can embrace their missions and raise their awareness and responsibilities for task implementation. The units of the General Staff were also requested to strictly prevent signs of degradation in ideology, morality and lifestyle.
In addition, the General Staff’s Party organizations should embrace and strictly implement directives and resolutions of higher levels, raise the efficiency of regular Party meetings and promote inspection and check of all units to prevent problems.
General Minh also urged the units to build a contingent of cadres capable of fulfilling any assigned missions, promote unity among troops and well implement policies for servicemen and their families, contributing to building comprehensively strong units.
