General Staff reviews Party and political work in H1
PANO – The General Staff (GS) of the Vietnam People’s Army held a conference on July 27 to review the implementation of the Party and political work in the first six months of this year and five-year implementation of regulations on recapitulating Party and political mission.
Reports at the conference evaluated that in the first six months of 2022, the Party and political work was comprehensively and effectively carried out by agencies and units in line with situational developments and their task requirements. As a result, the quality of Party and political work was improved, contributing to stabilizing political and ideological situation, raising troops’ political stance, enhancing solidarity, and building healthy and strong Party organizations and comprehensively strong and exemplary units.

Regarding the implementation of regulations on recapitulating Party and political mission, delegates agreed that over the past five years the Party committees and chains-of-command at all levels led and directed agencies and units to strictly carry out the regulations.
At the conference, delegates focused on discussing and evaluating the outcomes and shortcomings in carrying Party and political work in the first half of this year and the regulations on recapitulating Party and political work. They also proposed measures to raise the quality and effectiveness of Party and political work in the coming time.
Concluding the event, the GS’s Deputy Party Secretary and Political Chief Major General Chu Van Doan highly appreciated the GS’s agencies and units for their achievements in carrying out Party and political work in the first six months of this years and the regulations on recapitulating Party and political work over the past five years.
The official asked the GS’s agencies and units to continue embracing troops’ thoughts and their observance of discipline, promoting information dissemination, studying and strictly carrying out higher levels’ directives and guidelines on Party building, and building a contingent of operational and strategic-level officers to meet task requirements in the new situation.
Major General Chu Van Doan also urged agencies and units to continue studying and strictly realizing higher levels’ regulations and guidelines, paying attention to training political officers at all levels to meet the requirements of studying, recapitulating, and giving advice on Party and political work.
