Viettel’s leadership welcomes General Phan Van Giang and the visiting delegation. |
Despite global political instability, high inflation, and currency fluctuations, Viettel’s revenue from international markets increased by 17.3% in 2024, contributing 80% to the group’s overall growth. This marks the eighth consecutive year that Viettel’s international market has seen double-digit growth. Movitel has become a leader in Mozambique, securing Viettel’s number-one position in market share across seven foreign markets. Viettel has also launched the ADC undersea cable system, connecting China, Japan, and Southeast Asia, which is the largest international connection capacity in Vietnam. With five undersea cables and 360,000 kilometers of optical fiber, Viettel leads the undersea cable infrastructure sector and plans to open a new undersea cable route between Vietnam and Singapore.
In addition to its business activities, Viettel has launched significant social welfare programs across the country, with a total funding of over VND 530 billion, focusing on education, healthcare, poverty reduction, and disaster relief. This included VND 100 billion in support for those affected by Typhoon Yagi and VND 240 billion to assist 4,000 poor households in the Government and Ministry of National Defense’s program on eliminating temporary and dilapidated housing.
In recognition of its efforts, the State President presented Viettel’s Aerospace Institute with the title of "Hero of the People’s Armed Forces," and Viettel Construction Corporation with the title of "Labor Hero.”
