At the working session with the provincial leadership, General Phan Van Giang was briefed on the province’s task performance in 2022 and its plan for 2023 by Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Pham Anh Tuan.

The defense minister highly valued outcomes of the provincial authority, people and armed forces over the past time. He wished them to continue to gain more achievements in the time to come.

In addition, General Phan Van Giang thanked the local authority and people for supporting the armed forces stationed in the province. He affirmed that the military will always be the leading force in assisting locals in economic development, hunger eradication and poverty reduction, overcoming natural disasters’ consequences, and building new-style rural areas.

The defense official urged the local authority and Party committees to embrace the direction of higher levels, ensure social welfare, and take care of policy beneficiaries.

On the occasion of the Tet festival, General Phan Van Giang presented over 600 gifts of the defense ministry, worth VND 1.3 million each, to policy beneficiaries and revolutionary contributors in the locality.

When visiting and checking combat readiness of Regiment 940 of the Air Force Officer Training School and Regiment 925 of Division 372 of the Air Defense – Air Force Service, General Phan Van Giang presented Tet gifts to the units’ troops. He also asked the units’ leadership to ensure a cozy and warm Tet festival for their troops.
