At the event

At the event, delegates recalled 60 years of the building, combat, and development of the provincial border guard force.

60 years ago in Tu Krong commune (present Vinh Kim commune) of Vinh Thanh district, the Armed Security Team (present the Binh Dinh provincial Border Guard Command) was established.

Over the past six decades, together with safeguarding security in the coastal border, the provincial border guard command has actively participated in socio-economic development activities, responded to natural disasters, and consolidated political grounds in coastal localities, contributing to improving local people’s living standards.

For its achievements in the national construction and defense cause, the BinhDinh provincial Border Guard Command was honored with the first-class Feats-of-Arm Order in 1996, the third-class National Protection Order in 2011, and the second-class National Protection Order in 2021.

Various sub-units and personnel were also awarded by the Party, State, Government, ministries, agencies, and local Party Committee and authorities.

On behalf of the State President, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Ho Quoc Dung, Deputy Commander of the Border Guard Command Major General Nguyen Hoai Phuong, and Deputy Commander of Military Region 5 Command Major General Cao Phi Hung presented the second-class National Protection Order to the provincial Border Guard Command.

At the event, the Border Guard Command handed over the “For sovereignty and security in border areas” insignia to 78 border guard troops and local people for their significant contributions to protecting sovereignty and security in border areas.
