As Secretariat and Politburo members, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, and Defense Minister, General Lich made timely recommendations for the Party and State to deal with issues related to national independence, sovereignty and interests, as well as drew up military and defense guidelines, meeting the task requirements in the new situation.

In his remarks, General Ngo Xuan Lich expressed his honor and pride to receive the badge and sent his sincere thanks to the Party and State, CMC, MND, troops in the whole military and people across the country. He vowed to make further contribution to the revolutionary cause of the Party and military, strictly observe the Party and State’s resolutions and regulations, maintain revolutionary ethics, study and follow President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality, and lifestyle for the rest of his life, bring into play good virtues of Uncle Ho’s soldiers, set a good example in all aspects and fulfill all assigned missions.
