The event was attended by Secretary of the Hanoi Municipal Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung, leaders from various agencies under the General Department of Political Affairs of the Vietnam People's Army, and representatives from the Hanoi Capital Command, among others.

According to information from the Hanoi Capital Command, in 2024, Hanoi has citizens enlisted into military and public security units. The city's authorities have focused on comprehensive guidance for the enlistee selection process. Meanwhile, localities have actively prepared and simultaneously organized the 2024 recruitment drive on February 26.

Earlier, all localities organized meetings with discharged soldiers and new enlistees, admitted new Party members among citizens joining for the military service, distributed 1,873 savings books with a total amount of nearly VND 6 billion, and presented gifts and cash worth nearly VND 13 billion to policy beneficiaries.

The quality of the 2024 enlistment drive in Hanoi is higher than in the previous years. This year, the enlistees, who have graduated from vocational schools, colleges, and universities, reached 25.2 percent, a 2.8 percent increase compared to 2023. Those with high school graduation diploma accounted for 74 percent, and the voluntary enlistment rate reached 37.84 percent.

Before the 2024 recruitment drive, the Ba Vi district Military Command provided military equipment for all enlisted citizens, and presented gifts, cash, and savings books to 100% of military enlistees and those participating in public security service, with a total of more than VND 685 million.

Speaking on behalf of the enlistees, Le Cong Hoang Anh from Thuy An commune expressed his joy and honor. Before the enlistment date, he was admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam by the Dong An hamlet's Party Organization. Le Cong Hoang Anh promised to study and train diligently, following the examples set by previous generations, contributing to the glorious traditions of Ba Vi district.
