Former State President and former GDP’s Chief General Luong Cuong and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense General Phan Van Giang sent congratulatory flowers to the department.
In his speech, the department’s Director Lt. Gen. Nguyen Van Duc emphasized that over the past eight decades, the department and the sector have united, upheld strong resolve, strived to excellently fulfill assignments, significantly contributing to building a politically-strong military, helping improve synergy and combat capability of the whole military. They have developed the tradition of “steadfastness, pro-activeness, sharpness, creativity, solidarity, and determination to win.”

Addressing the ceremony, GDP’s Chief General Nguyen Trong Nghia praised the department and the sector for their outstanding achievements, stressing that their contributions have directly helped build a military strong in politics that is truly a reliable political and combat force absolutely loyal to the Party, the State, and the people, contributing to national liberation, construction, and defense.

Noting increasingly demanding requirements in ideological and cultural work in the military, Gen. Nghia urged the department and the sector to uphold the Party’s ideological foundation, embrace higher level guidelines, policies, military and defense missions, and major Party resolutions, as well as directives from Party General Secretary and State President To Lam.
He cited President Ho Chi Minh's teaching, which reads ideological education and leadership are the Party’s most important task. He called on all personnel in the department and the sector to transform their sense of honor and pride into motivation and dedication for their work.
He also asked for more suggestions in innovating ideological and cultural work in the military and improving political and social sciences education; strengthening information dissemination, promotion of Vietnamese cultural values and the virtues of Uncle Ho’s soldiers, and acceleration of the application of science, technology, and digital transformation.

In addition, the department and the sector were tasked with actively combating false information and distorted allegations against the Party, the State, and the military, especially in cyberspace; defeating all schemes and plots of “peaceful evolution” and attempts to “depoliticize” the military by hostile forces; and preventing ideological, moral, and lifestyle degradation, “self-evolution” and “self-transformation” within the military.
The GDP leader further called for building strong, healthy and exemplary Party organizations within the department and sector and hoped that officers, employees, and soldiers of the department will always deeply understand Party policies, innovate working methods, and maintain passion and determination in carrying out ideological and cultural work across the military.

The same day, the department’s Party Committee and leadership organized a ceremony to report its achievements to President Ho Chi Minh.
