Opinions given at the meeting stressed that in July, the Party and political work in the military has been carried out comprehensively in close attachment to the military-defense tasks and the Military Party Organization building duty and in line with reality.

Participants highlighted the good leadership over the political education and grasping of troops’ thoughts, troops’ higher awareness of their political duties, showing high sense of determination, and staying ready to undertake and complete all assignments.
Notably, the GDP well-coordinated with other units to introduce General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong’s book entitled “Some issues about the military policy, national defense strategy in the cause of building and defending the socialist Vietnam Fatherland in the new period.”
Achievements have also been seen in the completion of the review of the 12-year implementation of the Standing Board of the Central Military Commission’s Directive No.124, the 10-year implementation of the project on renovating political education work, the organization of a competition for instructors of politics in the whole military, and the ending of the third edition of the writing contest on protecting the Party’s ideological foundation.
Also in July, military media and press agencies have pro-actively disseminated activities related to military-defense affairs, Military Party Organization building, defense diplomacy, good models and good deeds and gratitude activities.
Regarding major tasks in August, Gen. Cuong asked the leadership of the GDP to direct the effective implementation of eight Party and political task groups. Particularly, they should lead the whole military to organize meetings to embrace and concretize the direction spirit of the General Secretary on military policy and defense strategy and his direction on “Seven Dares,” namely dare to think, dare to speak out, dare to do, dare to take responsibility, dare to renovate and be creative, dare to confront difficulties and challenges, and dare to act for the common interest.
The GDP chief asked for the implementation of the Party and political work in such key tasks as combat readiness, training, regularity building, discipline observance, disease and disaster prevention and control, and search and rescue operations.
He requested the direction on the successful organization of the Trade Union congresses of levels under the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense as good foundation for the tenth Military Trade Union Congress.
Gen. Cuong stressed that the implementation of the project on building the People’s Army Newspaper into a key multimedia press agency by 2030 with the vision to 2045 must be in line with the Standing Board of the Central Military Commission’s resolution. He also urged speeding up the production of TV series about the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the new era.
