GDP leaders active in military units

General Minh took the occasion to hail and congratulate the unit on its outstanding achievements over the past time, especially the 21 individuals and collectives honored at the congress.

Deputy Chief of the General Department of Political Affairs (GDP) Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh addresses the event.

In the time to come, the GDP deputy chief requested the unit’s commanding staffs at all levels to gradually review and boost the emulation and commendation work and the “Determined-to-win” movement via new contents and measures.

In addition, the unit should attach much importance to commendation work, in combination with personnel work, so as to encourage and honor individuals and collectives with outstanding task performance.

* On the same day, GDP Deputy Chief Lieutenant General Truong Thien To chaired a conference to approve a documentary film named “Tien buoc duoi quan ky” (Marching under military flag), produced by the People’s Army Cinema on the occasion of the upcoming 80th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army (December 22, 1944 - 2024) and the 35th anniversary of the Whole-People’s Defense Festive Day (December 22, 1989 - 2024).

The film consists of two episodes, of which the first one is themed “Fighting for Independence,” while the second one is titled “Ready to protect the Fatherland.”

General To valued the considerable efforts of troops of the People’s Army Cinema for overcoming difficulties to complete the film, highlighting the achievements and milestones of the Vietnam People’s Army over its 80 years of construction and development.

He also underscored that to ensure dissemination of information about the 80th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army in the coming time, the film is an important product so that it should be perfect. In order to make it special and spread the heroic traditions of the Vietnam People’s Army to audience, General To requested the unit to continue to finalize the film to be soon released as scheduled.
