At the event, Lt. Gen. Truong Thien To, Deputy Chief of the GDP, former Party Secretary and Political Commissar of the academy, handed over the posts of Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of the Political Academy to Major General Nguyen Ba Hung.

In his remarks, Sr. Lt. Gen Trinh Van Quyet congratulated Lt. Gen. Truong Thien To, who has been appointed as Deputy Chief of the GDP, affirming that this is the recognition and high appreciation of the Party, State, Central Military Commission and leaders of the Ministry of National Defense for him during his term of office at the academy.
The GDP chief also sent congratulations to Maj. Gen. Nguyen Ba Hung and expressed his hope that the newly-assigned Political Commissar would further strive, train, preserve revolutionary morality and further improve his working capacity, together with the Party Committee and Board of Directors of the academy direct the implementation of education-training, scientific research and assigned tasks.

In the time to come, Gen. Quyet required the academy to focus on grasping the guidelines, policies and viewpoints of the Party, CMC and MND on education-training work; innovating training programs associated with innovative methods to raise teaching quality; sharing experience in combat, training, management, and Party and political work for cadets.

The academy should continue to effectively implement political and ideological education, with a focus on building a healthy and comprehensively strong Party Organization. Officers and Party members should maintain political stance, train hard, and overcome all difficulties to successfully accomplish assigned tasks.
