GDP honors outstanding workers in the whole army
PANO - The General Department of Politics (GDP) of the Vietnam People's Army held a ceremony on August 10 to honor outstanding officers, officials and defense employees in the whole army in the 2012-2017 period.
Present at the ceremony were Major General Le Hien Van, Deputy Director of the GDP; Bui Van Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL).

In the 2012-2017 period, the GDP implemented various movements in line with practical requirements and tasks of each agency, unit and business. Over the past five years, the trade unions at all level in the whole army carried out more than 3,100 projects and initiatives, 9,300 topics, saving nearly VND 2,900 billion while 2,400 groups and individuals were honored by the GDP and the VGCL.
On behalf of the GDP, General Le Hien Van highly appreciated the workers' movements of the units across the army, especially praised the outstanding individuals' achievements in the period of 2012-2017. He also asked the trade unions' leaders at all levels to continue implementing the resolutions on building the Vietnam's working class in the period of promoting industrialization and modernization; encouraging officers, officials and soldiers in the whole army to actively participate in the labor movements; renewing contents and forms of the movements, especially the labor movements, taking care of material and spiritual lives and creating favorable conditions for officers and soldiers as well as defense employees in the whole army.
At the event, representatives of the GDP honored 60 outstanding officers, soldiers and defense employees.
