General Luong Cuong congratulating Senior Lieutenant General Do Can on his successful fulfillment of missions |
The event was attended by GDP’s Deputy Chiefs Senior Lieutenant General Do Can, Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Gau, and Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh.
At the ceremony, Senior Lieutenant General Do Can handed over his tasks to GDP’s Deputy Chiefs Lieutenant Generals Nguyen Van Gau and Le Quang Minh so as to retire as regulated.
Also at the event, the two deputy chiefs affirmed that they would try their best to fulfill all assigned missions, contributing to building a strong military in political terms, and building the strong Party Committee of the GDP’s Organs.
Senior Lieutenant General Do Can also expressed his sincere thanks to the Central Military Commission (CMC), leaders of the Defense Ministry and GDP as well as the GDP’s affiliated units for their care and support during his term as the GDP’s Deputy Chief.
Concluding the conference, General Luong Cuong affirmed that Senior Lieutenant General Do Can is a military officer who has been well trained through practical work and held many important positions in the military. In each position, he showed his firm political stance and fulfilled all assigned missions.
With more than seven years acting as the GDP’s deputy chief, together with the GDP leaders, Senior Lieutenant General Do Can made recommendations to the Party, State, CMC, and Defense Ministry to issue sound resolutions and decisions, while directly instructing military units on task performance with good results.
At the same time, he also made contribution to the task of building a clean and strong Party organization in the military. With his remarkable achievements, Senior Lieutenant General Do Can was honored with many noble orders by the Party, State, and military.

On behalf of the GDP leaders and troops, General Luong Cuong congratulated Senior Lieutenant General Do Can on his successful completion of tasks assigned by the Party, State and military, hoping that he would have good health and further make contribution to the GDP and military building task.
During the event, General Luong Cuong witnessed the duty handover between Senior Lieutenant General Do Can and Lieutenant Generals Nguyen Van Gau and Le Quang Minh, requesting them to effectively undertaking the tasks with good outcomes.
