Duty handover conference held in Army Corps 16
PANO - Army Corps 16 on November 5 held a duty handover conference between its former and newly-appointed commanders under the chair of Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army Lieutenant General Huynh Chien Thang.
The event was also attended by representatives of the functional units of the Ministry of National Defense, the General Staff, and the General Department of Political Affairs.

Earlier, the defense minister signed the decision to assign the Army Corps 16’s Commander Major General Pham Ngoc Tuan to the Central Military Commission’s Inspection Committee while Senior Colonel Pham Ba Hien, Second-in-Command of Army Corps 16, is tasked with the duty of the unit’s Commander Pro tempore.

Addressing the conference, General Thang hailed the great contribution of Major General Pham Ngoc Tuan to the corps, noting that he has promoted responsibility to direct the unit the fulfill all assigned missions. The deputy chief of the General Staff also requested the two newly-appointed officers to do their utmost to excellently accomplish all assigned tasks in the time to come.
On this occasion, Senior Colonel Pham Ba Hien thanked the unit’s Party Committee and leaders at higher levels for the promotion. He promised to grasp the situations and study more to raise his competence, and try his best, for the development of the unit in the coming time.
