Exhibition spotlights air force troops
PANO – The Air Defense - Air Force Service opened the exhibition “For the cause of firmly protecting national sovereignty in the sky” at its museum in Hanoi on October 16.
Visitors had chance to learn more about the service’s heroic traditions and feats-of-arms over the past years since its inception.
The displayed items are divided into two parts. The first includes 500 exhibits, photos and documents highlighting the sound leadership and directions of the Party, President Ho Chi Minh and Central Military Commission and Ministry of National Defense. Notably, there are a number of photos featuring 17 visits to air defense and air force units of President Ho Chi Minh to check their disposition and encourage troops.
The second part introduces 300 books and documentaries of different genres published at home and abroad honoring air defense and air force troops when they were performing their tasks.
Major General Lam Quang Dai, Political Commissar of the Air Defense - Air Force Service emphasized that the main purpose of the exhibition is to pay tribute to and glorify contributions and sacrifices of the whole people and soldiers, especially those who have served and are serving the service, during the past national liberation wars as well as the current national construction and defense cause.
