Air force troops begin live-fire exercise in 2017
PANO – On August 14, the Air Defense Air Force Service of the Vietnam People’s Army launched a live-fire exercise for its pilots.
At the launching ceremony
The exercise was held to evaluate pilots' and aircrew's capabilities in practicing bombing and strafing ground targets. Via the exercise, essential lessons and experiences should be drawn for the air safety service, and good measures should be taken to deploy weapons, ammunitions, vehicles and logistical supplies for the upcoming training drives.
On this occasion, the Air Defense Air Force Service tested participating pilots on theory and practical abilities of live-fire shooting with the participation of all lines of assigned aircraft.
Previously, pilots and technical and logistical personnel of the three divisions of 370, 371, and 372 had transported weapons and equipment to Regiment 923 for practices ahead of the live-fire exercise.
