The exercise consisted of both table-top and live-fire field contents. It is to raise the level of the organization of combat and command, the collaboration among major forces, the local troops and the militia force in the defensive area of Hanoi city.

The exercise consists of four stages, namely shifting combat readiness to higher postures, preparing for combat, conducting combat on map, and conducting live-fire field content.

After the opening ceremony, delegates witnessed the division undertaking the first stage of shifting its combat readiness posture.

The exercise is scheduled to end on October 30.
