Attending the event were Defense Minister General Ngo Xuan Lich, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics (GDP) Lieutenant General Le Hien Van, and Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army Rear Admiral Nguyen Trong Binh.

On behalf of the Central Military Commission (CMC) and the MND, General Ngo Xuan Lich congratulated General Truong and the other senior officers on the noble reward presented by the Party.

General Lich emphasized that as a Party member for 40 years now, General Truong has shown absolute loyalty to the Party, the Fatherland and people, maintained good revolutionary ethics, fulfilled all assigned missions, and made great contributions to the Party’s revolutionary cause and the military-building cause, and met task requirements in the current context.

General Lich also underscored that in his posts as a member of the CMC and Deputy Defense Minister, General Truong together with the CMC, the Ministry of National Defense’s leadership has boosted solidarity, given recommendations to the Party and State on shaping military-defense policies, directed the building of the whole people’s defense posture and the building of a politically-, ideologically-, organizationally- and morally-strong Military Party Organization, thus contributing to improving the country's military power.

The defense minister stated that Senior Lieutenant General Be Xuan Truong and seven members of the Party Committee of the MND’s Office who won the Party membership badges are outstanding Party members with many achievements. The presentation of the badges has shown the Party’s, State’s and military’s acknowledgement of their merits and contributions to the national revolutionary cause.

On behalf of the awardees, General Truong expressed his honor and pride as well as his gratitude to the Party and State, and vowed to continue making efforts to successfully complete all assigned tasks.
