Defense ministry reviews task performance in January
PANO – The Ministry of National Defense held a conference on February 2 to review its task performance in January under the chair of Defense Minister General Ngo Xuan Lich.
Reportedly, the whole-military’s successful completion of its defense-military missions amidst the complicated development of the COVID-19 pandemic has contributed to ensuring political stability and social safety for the 13th National Party Congress and other important political events of the country.

The military units have strictly maintained combat readiness, grasped all situations, and provided timely advice for the Party and State to deal with unexpected situations.
Commanders at all levels also visited and offered Tet gifts to policy beneficiaries and ensured logistical supplies for their troops ahead of the Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday.
Speaking at the event, General Lich applauded the achievements of all units in January, and required them to continue maintaining combat readiness and military discipline in the time to come. He noted that all units should ensure traffic safety while taking good care of troops’ spiritual and material lives during the upcoming Tet festival.
The defense minister asked all military units to closely follow the directions of the Prime Minister and relevant agencies on preventing the COVID-19 pandemic.

He encouraged the elected military officers to fulfill all missions assigned by the Party, the State and the people.
