Youths joyfully join the military. 

This year, the province has continued to focus on improving health and professional qualifications of recruited youths. Nearly 20% of the recruits are Party members, and more than 1,300 young people have volunteered to join the military. The province has paid special attention to developing grassroots cadres from ethnic youths and implementing policies for recruits and their families.

In An Giang province, Deputy Defense Minister Sr. Lt. Gen. Nguyen Van Gau, attended the event at the Defensive Area Command Region 2-Long Xuyen, one of the nine locations hosting the ceremonies. According to reports, this year’s recruitment quality has improved, with an increase of 3 percent in the number of recruits holding college and university degrees compared to the previous year. Attentively, more than 80 percent of youths have volunteered for military service.

In Dong Thap province, GDP’s Deputy Director Sr. Lt. Gen. Do Xuan Tung encouraged youths embarking on military service. Local authorities reported that this year’s recruitment procedures have been implemented strictly to ensure transparency and quality. Notably, over 31% of the recruits hold college or university degrees and 73 enlistees are Party members.

In Nghe An province, provincial and Military Region 4 leaders encouraged recruits at the ceremony held in the Defensive Area Command Region 1-Van An. The province has fulfilled all of its enlistment quota. Attentively, there are 69 Party members among the recruits. The province has carried out support policies for recruits and those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
