Established March 5, 1946, Unit 11 was Tay Ninh Province’s first regular military unit under unified command. It evolved into Regiment 311 in 1948 before merging in 1950 to form the Tay Ninh Provincial Military Board (now the Tay Ninh Provincial Military Command). Throughout its history, the provincial armed forces have achieved outstanding feats in national reunification, border protection, and international obligations, earning the "Bravery and Resilience" tradition and the Hero of the People’s Armed Forces title. At the ceremony, General Nguyen Trong Nghia, authorized by the State President, presented the third-class Military Exploit Order to the Command for its excellence in training and national defense.
