According to a report delivered by Commanding Officer of the Nam Dinh provincial Military Command Senior Colonel Nguyen Ba Thinh, the province’s armed forces have well observed combat readiness regulations, advised the provincial People’s Committee to issue a directive on implementing local defense and military missions, and closely supervised and speeded up the construction of military projects.

Regarding the mission of observing combat readiness during the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - 2024) and International Labor Day (May 1) holidays and the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, the provincial military command has reviewed and adjusted combat readiness plans, rehearsed combat scenarios, prepared forces and vehicles, ensured synchronized and smooth communication, and been ready to handle circumstances. 

Concluding the inspection, Gen. Thang lauded the provincial military command for outstanding outcomes in implementing local military and defense tasks and pointed out shortcomings that need addressing in the coming time. He asked the province’s armed forces to strictly observe combat readiness, coordinate with other forces to closely follow the developments of political security and public order, and be prepared to ensure security during the upcoming events.

The defense leader suggested the provincial Military Command continue to give advice to the provincial Party Committee and People’s Committee to complete the preparation for the defensive area exercise, disaster response and search and rescue drills.  

He noted that the unit should boost education to raise troops’ awareness of the combat readiness mission and knowledge about hostile forces’ schemes and enhance their vigilance and determination to undertake and complete all assigned tasks; pay attention to working with local forces to well disseminate the Party’s guidelines and State’s policies to locals, contributing to ensuring political security and public order.
