General Staff’s leaders check units’ preparation for shifting combat readiness status
PANO - A mission of the General Staff, led by its deputy chief Senior Lieutenant General Huynh Chien Thang, checked the combat readiness observance of the Vietnam Coast Guard Command on March 5.
Concluding the inspection, Gen. Thang highly appreciated the Vietnam Coast Guard Command’s thorough preparation for and careful practice of shifting combat readiness status. The deputy chief of the General Staff asked the command to continue to review, adjust, and complete document system on shifting combat readiness status in line with higher levels’ guidance; regularly review task performance and address shortcomings pointed out by the mission.

The General Staff’s leader urged the command to direct and guide its agencies and units to foster the practice of shifting combat readiness status to enhance capability of commanding officers and agencies at all levels to meet task requirements.
* On March 4 and 5, Deputy Chief of the General Staff Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Binh led a delegation to check Naval Region 5’s practicing of shifting the combat readiness status.
Gen. Binh evaluated that the Naval Region 5 Command had made thorough preparation for the work. The document system and training plans have been prepared as regulated; the party, political, logistics, and technical work has been synchronously and effectively carried out.
