Preparations for Party congresses of units approved

The defense chief acknowledged and applauded units for their thorough preparations. He asked Party Committees of these units to seriously take in opinions contributed during the meeting and continue to strictly embrace higher levels’ directives and instructions. They should also keep a close watch on situational developments, and requirements of military building in the new situation, as well as complete documents to be presented at upcoming congresses.

Gen. Giang instructed the GDDI’s Party Organization to focus on solutions and other approaches to effectively and synchronously develop defense industry potential, promote research and application of science and technology and renovation. In addition to further defense capability development, the department should strengthen production and export and especially build a pro-active, resilient, dual-use, modern defense industry with contribution to building a modernized military.

The ADAF Service’s Party Organization should define focal points of the road-map for weapon and technical equipment modernization while raising quality of training, combat readiness capability. ADAF-related military and operational art should be developed to a new high with close attachment to realities and practical requirements. The ADAF’s Party Organization was also requested to build a strong people’s air defense and whole military air force posture in the people’s warfare as well as build an elite, compact, strong and modern service.
