Gen. Nguyen Tan Cuong inspects parade troops’ rehearsal
PANO - Chief of the General Staff and Deputy Defense Minister General Nguyen Tan Cuong on July 17 chaired and inspected a joint rehearsal of troops to participate in the upcoming parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2).
According to a report delivered at the event which took place at the National Military Training Center No.4, the parade troops including those from the military and public security forces have trained hard and seriously in a responsible and disciplined manner despite challenges posed by harsh weather conditions, difficulties in accommodation and intensive training programs.

The highlight of the joint rehearsal was the participation of military vehicles and police specialized vehicles, demonstrating the continuous growth of the people's armed forces over the past 80 years, under the wise leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
Observing the rehearsal, Gen. Cuong highly praised participating units and parade troops for their high sense of responsibility and good outcomes gained during the intensive training sessions with high determination to show the regularity and strength of the people’s armed forces.

Emphasizing the important significance of the celebration to mark the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day in reminiscing about the glorious tradition of the nation with the parade as a highlight, Gen. Cuong urged every parade troop to master their movements and further practice to meet the task requirement and ensure the highest possible quality.
He also asked for further implementation of the Party and political work in parade training, enhance dissemination of information about the parade and the hard training of the parade forces, as well as accelerate education to raise responsibility and determination of relevant forces.

The defense leader expressed his hope and showed strong belief that each force, each formation and each soldier would promote the spirit of the August Revolution and the National Day, take advantage of time, actively practice, stay united and coordinated to excellently complete the assigned tasks to have a parade worthy of the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
