In his commemorative speech, Major General Bui Trong Vinh, Chief of the Department of Military Internal Security Protection, affirmed that over the past 75 years of building, fighting, and development, generations of officials, staff, soldiers, and employees of the department and the military internal security protection sector have overcome numerous difficulties and achieved outstanding feats-of-arm. They have successfully thwarted plots and schemes by colonialists, imperialists, puppets, and reactionary forces, safeguarded political security, ensured the safety of military campaigns, strategic transportation routes, and key Party and military agencies, contributing to defeating all invaders, securing national independence and freedom, and firmly protecting the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Upholding this glorious tradition, the department and the sector have effectively performed their advisory function, assisting higher-level leadership in formulating regulations on Party protection, State and military secrecy protection, internal political security, and the overall security and safety of the military. They have closely coordinated with military and civilian agencies to ensure the absolute safety of major political events of the Party, State, military, and defense external affairs.

In recognition of these achievements, the department and many collectives and individuals in the military internal security sector have been conferred the title "Hero of the People’s Armed Forces" and many other noble awards.

On behalf of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, General Trinh Van Quyet congratulated the department and the entire sector on their outstanding accomplishments over the past 75 years. He emphasized that military internal security protection is an essential part of national internal security and political and ideological work in the military. Agencies and units in the sector play a vital role as specialized bodies for national internal security within the military, contributing to maintaining social order, political stability, and supporting national construction, protection, and development.

General Quyet urged the department and the sector to continue thoroughly grasping the Party's guidelines on Fatherland protection and military building; and to implement higher-level resolutions, directives, regulations, and instructions on internal security in accordance with the demands of building a regular, elite, and gradually modern military. He stressed the need to enhance the quality of situation forecasting, proactively conduct research, and advise on emerging issues in military internal security protection.

The department should strengthen coordination with relevant agencies inside and outside the military, maintain firm grasp of key areas, and ensure absolute safety for activities involving Party, State, and military leaders as well as strategic objectives. Furthermore, the department is to apply modern science and technology in the fight against hostile forces and to develop a contingent of officers, personnel, and soldiers with the necessary moral integrity and professional competence.
