GS Chief checks units' combat readiness status

The mission visited Division 377 of the Air Defense - Air Force Service, Brigade 293 of the Engineering Corps, and the Naval Region 4 Command.

Sr. Lt. Gen. Nguyen Tan Cuong hands over gifts to Division 377.

Having heard units’ reports, Gen. Cuong acknowledged and praised them for thoroughly grasping and strictly carrying out directives of the Ministry of National Defense and higher levels’ regulations and guidance on observing combat readiness regulations as well as their efforts in completing all assigned missions.

In the context of the complicated developments of the world situation, the Chief of the General Staff requested the units to closely follow situation and adjust combat readiness plans and work with other forces to closely watch the situation in their designated areas and localities where they are stationed.

Sr. Lt. Gen. Nguyen Tan Cuong works with the Naval Region 4 Command.

He requested the units to strictly observe regulations and disciplines; regularly practice combat scenarios, enhance the prevention of fire and explosion, and well conduct search and rescue missions to help fishermen feel secure to fish at sea. In the short-term, the units should grasp troops’ thoughts, organize a New Year of joy and solidarity for troops, and take care of policy beneficiaries. 

On the occasion, Gen. Cuong extended New Year greetings to the units’ troops and asked them to continue to build comprehensively strong units, firmly safeguard national sovereignty, security, safety.
