General Nguyen Trong Nghia directs Unit 871 on 2026 task performance
PANO - On February 26, General Nguyen Trong Nghia, Director of the General Department of Political Affairs, inspected and directed Unit 871 on its task performance in 2026.
Over the past time, Unit 871 has successfully fulfilled its assigned targets and missions, with many accomplished excellently. Outstandingly, the unit has implemented effective solutions to manage Vietnamese trainees studying abroad and at non-military schools, taught Vietnamese to international students, and well conducted staff training and military foreign relations. Additionally, importance has been attached to regularity building and discipline observance, along with the effective application of science, technology, innovation, digital transformation, and administrative reform.

Speaking at the inspection, General Nguyen Trong Nghia commended the results and achievements of Unit 871.
He requested the unit’s Party Committee and chain-of-command to strictly implement regulations on education, training, and foreign relations, and deploy effective solutions to manage trainees.
The unit should well perform the popularization of law and discipline among its staff and trainees, while closely coordinating with functional agencies inside and outside the military to foster its officers and instructors to meet new requirements. Furthermore, it must ensure internal political protection and support disadvantaged officers and soldiers.

While inspecting the adjusted planning for Unit 871’s barracks construction, the Director of the General Department of Political Affairs asked the unit’s leadership to coordinate closely with relevant agencies to carry out the project on schedule, ensuring sustainable quality, aesthetics, and high functional effectiveness.
