Defense leader visits and congratulates units on Vietnamese Doctors’ Day
PANO - On the occasion of the 71st anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors’ Day (February 27, 1955 - 2026), on February 25, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Gau, Deputy Defense Minister, visited Military Hospital 103 under the Vietnam Military Medical University and the Air Defense - Air Force Medical Institute under the Air Defense - Air Force Service.
At the two units, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Gau extended his greetings to all medical staff, acknowledging their high sense of responsibility and dedication to treating and caring for the health of troops and people over the past time.

After hearing the two units’ reports on the task performance in 2025 and key missions for 2026, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Gau requested the Party Committees, Directorates, and all medical workers of the units to continuously uphold their traditions, improve their medical ethics, professional skills, and medical examination and treatment quality. He emphasized the strict implementation of President Ho Chi Minh’s teaching “A good doctor must be like a gentle mother.”

Additionally, he urged the two units to step up scientific research, promote initiatives, and enhance technological application and digital transformation in their professional activities. They were also asked to well implement the movement of studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality and lifestyle, as well as to further build clean, strong Party organizations in tandem with comprehensively strong units that are “exemplary and typical” in order to excellently fulfill all assigned missions. Thereby, they will continue to affirm the core role of military medicine in protecting and caring for the health of troops and people, contributing to building a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern Vietnam People’s Army.
