In 2025, the country witnessed many major events, while non-traditional security challenges, natural disasters, and floods developed in unusual and complex ways. Under the leadership and direction of the CMC, the MND, and Party committees and chains-of-command at all levels, together with the close attention and support of Party committees, authorities, and people in localities, as well as agencies and units inside and outside the military, military medical officers, staff, cadets, and soldiers upheld the glorious traditions of the heroic Vietnam People’s Army and the virtues of Vietnamese physicians and overcame difficulties to accomplish the tasks of receiving, treating, caring for, and protecting the health of troops and people.
They ensured effective medical support for activities in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day; participated in search and rescue operations, emergency response, treatment, and healthcare for flood-hit people and victims at sea and on islands.

They also promoted international cooperation in military medicine, scientific research and application; combined traditional with modern medicine, contributing to the cause of national construction and protection. Many collectives and individuals honored by the Party and the State with the title of Hero of the People’s Armed Forces and other noble awards.
The defense chief expressed his hope that they will continue to promote the traditions and obtained achievements; constantly train to improve expertise and medical ethics; and further study and follow President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality, and style; and accomplish all assigned missions, deserving the trust of the Party, State, people and officers and soldiers in the whole military.
