In recent years, alongside its core production duties, Factory Z125 has carried out numerous scientific and technological research projects to develop new products.

Beyond its defense mandate, the factory has also actively researched and manufactured a wide range of high-quality commercial products to serve national economic sectors and supply both domestic and international markets, thereby contributing to job creation and improved worker incomes.

Concluding the working session, General Nam praised Factory Z125 for its outstanding performance in fulfilling assigned tasks. He urged the factory to continue prioritizing defense production, with an emphasis on safety, quality, and efficiency. He also stressed the importance of strictly implementing the dual-purpose production model that integrates both defense and economic missions, in accordance with the spirit of Politburo Resolution No.08-NQ/TW and Resolution No.426/NQ-DU issued by the Party Committee of the General Department of Defense Industry on economic production leadership within the sector.

He outlined targets of achieving annual revenue growth of over 10% and an average annual increase in employee income of over 5%. Defense production should remain the factory’s primary focus, while economic production is expected to grow by 20% each year.

Regarding investment in production capacity, the deputy defense minister instructed the factory to continue researching and optimizing the efficiency of its existing technological lines, equipment, and facilities to boost productivity and improve product quality. The long-term objective is to master weapon manufacturing technologies.

In addition, Factory Z125 was directed to focus on implementing investment projects that will enhance its production capabilities and strengthen the national defense industry. A central component of this effort is the development of “Facility No. 2,” which will focus on mastering the production of large-caliber artillery barrels and conducting research and manufacturing of armored vehicles, self-propelled artillery, and tanks.
