GS leader encourages forces rehearsing for “Fatherland in Our Hearts” concert
PANO – On August 21, in Ho Chi Minh City, a delegation of the General Staff (GS), led by its Deputy Chief Lt. Gen. Le Van Huong, inspected and encouraged officers and soldiers who are rehearsing for the political-art program “Fatherland in Our Hearts” (To quoc trong tim toi), jointly organized by Nhan Dan Newspaper and the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee.
During the inspection, Gen. Huong directly reviewed the organization and rehearsal content of the participating contingents, including the flag-raising and flag-salute ceremony; the military parade by the five-service officers’ formation, the Southern female guerrilla formation and the female U.N. peacekeeping officers’ formation.

After the inspection, Gen. Huong praised the responsibility, determination and efforts of officers and soldiers despite unpredictable weather, intensive training schedules and a short preparation period. He also highly appreciated Military Region 7 and relevant agencies and units for pro-actively overcoming difficulties, strictly maintaining discipline, ensuring safety and gradually improving the quality of rehearsals.

Highlighting the significance of the event, the GS leader required the units to continue organizing rehearsals, focusing on improving the quality of every movement, formation, ceremonial gesture, thereby demonstrating the strength and discipline of the Viet Nam People’s Army.
He also urged the forces to promote solidarity, responsibility and pro-activeness in overcoming difficulties. At the same time, units should pay close attention to the material and spiritual life of their personnel to successfully fulfill their assigned tasks, thereby contributing to the success of the concert.
