Defense leader emphasizes importance of communications to Vietnam Defense Expo’s success

At the event, Senior Colonel Nguyen Xuan Thuy, Deputy Director of the Department of Political Education and Information and head of the sub-committee, delivered a report on the communications work.

Particularly, the sub-committee has actively and pro-actively worked with related units to disseminate information about the defense expo according to the directions from the leadership of the Ministry of National Defense, the General Department of Political Affairs and the General Staff.

Having heard reports and opinions of other members of the sub-committee on the preparation, shortcomings during the task performance and new ideas to better the information dissemination work, Gen. Tan applauded the unit for its utmost efforts.

The deputy chief of the General Staff underlined the important role of the sub-committee in popularizing Vietnam, its people, and people’s military through the expo.

He asked press agencies in the military to be active and pro-active in collaborating with other organizations and agencies at home and abroad to effectively implement the work in order to ensure that the Vietnam International Defense Expo 2024 will be successful in all aspects.

As scheduled, Hanoi will host the Vietnam International Defense Expo 2024 in December this year after the first success of the event in 2022. The expo is organized by the Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam.
