An international booth at the expo |
Located at the center of the expo, the booth of SORD, an Australian company has lured a large number of visitors, therefore it took the People Army’s Newspaper’ reporters much time to have a chance to talk to the group’s representative Rob Fickling.
According to Fickling, SORD, which is specialized in producing protective equipment, sleeping bags, field packs, and more, has participated in numerous international defense industry expos. However, it is the first time the group has engaged in an exhibition held in Southeast Asia. The group’s representative revealed that SORD Group’s business market mainly focuses on Australia and the U.S; therefore, participating in this expo is a chance for the group to expand its market to Asia and the world and at the same time to get access to and exchange technologies with participating international partners.
He expressed his deep impressions of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense’s organization of this expo. He highlighted the opening ceremony and the impressive performance of Vietnamese fighters, and artistic shows. He also highly appreciated the scientific, logical, convenient arrangement at the outdoor exhibition space, helping both visitors and exhibitors.

Sharing the same impression on the expo, Mr. Umut Oguzhan Onur, sales representative in Asia-Pacific at MKE (Mechanical and Chemical Industry Corporation of Turkey) affirmed that the highlight of the expo is the spacious exhibition area, eye-catching booths with diverse and plentiful products.
Participating in the first-ever Vietnam International Defense Expo 2022, MKE and Onur himself hoped to meet big defense enterprises and build a foundation for their partnership with foreign partners.
Positive evaluations from companies, corporations, and partners at the expo are a source of encouragement to the host country and a basis for the success of the expo, contributing to enhancing partnership in defense industry in the region and the world.
