Coordination promoted in border management and sovereignty protection
PANO – The Tien Giang provincial Border Guard Command and Coast Guard Region 3, on April 4, held a ceremony to sign a cooperation agreement in sovereignty management and protection as well as ensuring security and social order at sea.
Accordingly, leaders of the two units agreed to regularly share information as well as update situation at sea while implementing patrol to address arising issues at sea so as to prevent sovereignty violation, crimes, and law violation.
Meanwhile, they will also work together to build plan on search and rescue, natural disaster prevention as well as overcoming issues related to maritime environment.
In addition, the two units should open refresher course to raise troops’ competence while organizing law dissemination work for people and fishermen in the areas, among others.
On the basis of each unit's assigned tasks, they need to flexibly and promptly coordinate and proactively handle all problems, contributing to maintaining the national sovereignty over sea and islands, political security, order and safety at sea.
