Hai Phong promotes border management and COVID-19 prevention
PANO – The Hai Phong city Border Guard Command on November 9 held a meeting to assign missions to 50 border troops who will reinforce the An Giang province’s border guard force in border management and COVID-19 prevention.

Addressing the meeting, Vice Chairman of Hai Phong city People’s Committee Le Khac Nam said that in response to the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic at the beginning of this year, the city Border Guard Command mobilized 70 troops to support the An Giang provincial Border Guard Command in managing border areas and combating the pandemic.
With the vanguard spirit, high sense of responsibility and determination, reinforced troops did their utmost to fulfill all assigned missions after eight months, he added.
Also, he hoped that all participating troops would promote the tradition of the city's border guards and encouraged them to overcome difficulties in their task performance.
On behalf of the city People’s Committee, its Vice Chairman Le Khac Nam presented flowers and gifts to the troops before departing for An Giang province.
