Over the past year, projects and scientific tasks in this field were carried out as planned. The council also commented on draft legal documents in the field and other important studies.
Concluding the conference, Senior Lieutenant General Pham Hoai Nam emphasized the importance of the science and technology in defense industry in building the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA) into a revolutionary, regular, elite, gradually modern military.
Therefore, he underlined that the council should promote its responsibility and role in making recommendations to the CMC, MND so as to effectively implement Politburo’s Resolution No.08-NQ/TW, issued on January 26, 2022 on promoting defense industry towards 2030 and the following years; and CMC’s Resolution No.1652-NQ/QUTW, issued on December 20, 2022 on the leadership over military scientific work in 2030 and the following years.

Meanwhile, it was requested to closely work with functional organs, apply new technologies and achievements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution to research, manufacture, and upgrade weapons and technical equipment, and improve the quality of defense products, among others.
