Reportedly, in 2024 and early 2025, the unit has proactively implemented cyber and information technology work, firmly protecting national sovereignty in cyberspace. Notably, it has actively made recommendations to higher levels to finalize framework for cyber work, information technology, and digital transformation, meeting task requirements in the current context.

Accordingly, national and military-defense information systems have been effectively secured with thousands of security vulnerabilities, malware, and spyware detected. It has also implemented defensive solutions for strategic and operational-level units, ensuring the security of military and defense information systems as well as important national ones, to name but a few.
Meanwhile, the Party and political work has been implemented comprehensively and effectively, with due care for troops’ lives, ensuring absolute safety.
Concluding the working session, the GS leader requested the unit to effectively implement the Party’s guidelines and State’s laws and policies, resolutions of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense on defense-security work, especially Resolution No.44-NQ-TW, issued on November 24, 2023 on the national defense strategy in the current context, the Politburo’s Resolution No.29-NQ/TW, issued on July 25, 2018 on the national defense strategy in cyberspace; and the Government’s Decree No.01/2023/ND-CP, issued on August 15, 2023, on measures to implement defense tasks in cyberspace.
In addition, it should also make recommendations to defense leaders to make policies and documents related to cyberspace and ensure information safety, among others.
