In his speech at the ceremony, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong commended the significant achievements of Command 86 in accomplishing their political tasks and successfully completing the construction of the headquarters on schedule, ensuring quality and safety. He emphasized that the newly built headquarters of Command 86 reflects the care of the Party and the State, along with the guidance of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense. This marks an important milestone in the development of Command 86, contributing to the modernization of the military in general and Command 86 in particular.
Gen. Cuong expressed his hope that the Party Committees, chains-of-command at all levels, troops, and employees of Command 86 would efficiently operate the headquarters, establish unified regulations, and maximize the facility's functionality.
Looking ahead, to successfully fulfill their mission, the Chief of the General Staff required Command 86 to deeply grasp and effectively implement the Party's policies, the State's laws, and resolutions and directives of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense regarding military and defense tasks, especially the resolution of the eighth session of the 13th Party Central Committee on the national defense strategy in the new situation. He stressed the importance of thorough planning, scientific organization, and comprehensive solutions for training, combat readiness, and unit building, ensuring that Command 86 remains a core force in safeguarding the nation in cyberspace.
Moreover, Command 86 should focus on developing a "elite, compact, strong" cyber warfare force. The unit should also focus on building firm Party organizations in terms of politics, ideology, morality and structure; in line with comprehensively strong units, contributing to successfully accomplishing all assigned tasks.
