The visit is a practical activity to realize the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the Vietnam Coast Guard and the Indian Coast Guard, signed in 2015. It will contribute to strengthening friendship, enhancing mutual understanding and trust, and promoting cooperation between the two countries' maritime law enforcement forces in an increasingly substantive and effective manner.

Senior Colonel Nguyen Minh Khanh highlighted the important significance of the working visit, saying that it provides an opportunity for the two forces to enhance exchanges, share experience, and exchange best practices in maritime law enforcement. To ensure that the mission achieves its objectives and requirements, the Party Committee and Chain-of-Command of Coast Guard Region 2 pro-actively and comprehensively carried out preparations, thoroughly briefed officers and soldiers on the significance and requirements of the mission, and made thorough preparations in all areas.
