Coast Guard Region 3’s troops prepare Banh chung

Troops and youths make Banh chung.

The competition saw the participations of four teams from nine different units under the command. Each team, consisting of five members, was tasked with making five pairs of Banh chung in 40 minutes.

At the end of the contest, the organizing panel awarded a first prize to the team from Flotilla 301 and a second prize to the team from the Logistics and Technical Division.

Deputy Political Commissar of the Coast Guard Region 3 Senior Colonel Cao Xuan Quan highlighted that the Banh chung wrapping contest is the unit’s annual lunar New Year celebration activity. The event aimed to raise troops’ understanding about Vietnam's traditional Lunar New Year culture. The event also served as an opportunity for the troops to show off their skills and create a festive atmosphere filled with warmth and cheer for them.
